At least 10 deminers were shot dead and 14 others wounded as gunmen attacked their camp in Afghanistan's northern Baghlan province Tuesday night, an Interior Ministry spokesperson said Wednesday.

Taliban outfit's terrorists attacked the camp located in the province's Baghlan district roughly at 10:00 p.m. local time, spokesperson Tariq Arian told Xinhua.

The deminers had been working to clear landmines planted in a certain area during day before returning to their camp in the night, he said.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
