A herd of wild Asian elephants on the move in southwest China's Yunnan Province had further traveled about 3.7 kilometers southwest as of 5 p.m. on Wednesday, continuing their migration in Kunming City. One elephant that left the herd on June 6 has gotten even farther from the herd. On June 7, local authorities mobilized about 775 people, 304 vehicles and 16 drones to track and steer the herd to ensure the safety of both local residents and the elephants.
