On June 7, 2021, Chinese President Xi Jinping started his seventh inspection tour in China this year. The three-day trip took President Xi to northwest China's Qinghai Province, where he visited the capital city of Xining and the Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture from June 7 to 9. During the trip, Xi stressed the need to always put the people first and advance reform and opening-up to promote ecological conservation and high-quality development on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
