Live: Wild Asian elephants continue their journey in SW China, where are they now?

The herd of wild Asian elephants continues its journey northward since last March in China's southwestern province Yunnan. The herd was spotted strolling in human habitats in Yuxi City on Thursday, playing in the mud and huddling together to stay warm after a rainfall. More personnel have been deployed to track the elephants and protect both humans and these gentle giants. Join CGTN to find out the location of these elephants.

In China, Asian elephants are mostly found in Yunnan province. With top-level state protection, the wild elephant population in the province has grown from 193 in the late 1980s to more than 300 individuals today.
