Standing on the Pamir Plateau in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Mount Muztagata offers a magnificent view together with a crystal lake and clear blue sky. 

The mountain is covered by snow all year round. The snow line is about 5,200 meters above sea level. More than ten glaciers have developed from this snowy area, which explains why the mountain is known as "the father of glaciers."
