Chinese President Xi Jinping declared ecological conservation of northwest China's Qinghai Province a national priority during an inspection tour to the province from June 7 to 9. He called for efforts to promote ecological progress, protect ecological resources and build up national parks, describing ecology as resource, wealth and treasure. Over the past five years, Xi has paid close attention to the advancement of the area's ecological conservation work.
