Chinese mainland reports 34 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 34 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, six locally transmitted in southern Guangdong Province and 28 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Sunday. 

No new deaths related to COVID-19 have been recorded. 

Eighteen new asymptomatic cases were recorded the same day, while 382 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,428, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636. 

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,877 (11,595 recoveries, 210 deaths) 

Macao: 52 (51 recoveries)                  

Taiwan: 12,746 (1,133 recoveries, 411 deaths)
