As of 7:00 p.m. Sunday, 12 people had been confirmed dead and 138 injured in a gas explosion in central China's Hubei Province. Over 2,000 people were mobilized for the rescue operation, and the cause of the incident is under investigation. The blast occurred in a residential community in the Zhangwan District of Shiyan City, at around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.
