Vanuatu started inoculating its people with China's Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine on Tuesday. The launch ceremony was held at the National Convention Centre in the capital city of Port Vila.
Vanuatu Prime Minister Bob Loughman received his first jab after the ceremony.
The China-donated Sinopharm vaccines, which were transported in early June, are the first bilateral vaccine donation the Pacific Island country has received.
