Chinese mainland reports 20 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, two locally transmitted cases in southern Guangdong Province and 18 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission (NHC) showed on Tuesday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 have been recorded. 

Twenty-five new asymptomatic cases were recorded the same day, while 404 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,471, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636. 

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,878 (11,600 recoveries, 210 deaths) 

Macao: 52 (51 recoveries)                  

Taiwan: 13,106 (1,133 recoveries, 452 deaths)
