Chinese human rights scholars release field survey report on Xinjiang's cotton production

A team of scholars from China's Southwest University of Political Science and Law has released a report on cotton production in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, noting that cotton planting and harvesting there have been highly mechanized. The team spent two weeks in Xinjiang, talking to nearly 70 local cotton growers and pickers, and visiting five local yarn enterprises.
