Chinese mainland reports 19 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 19 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday – four locally transmitted in south China's Guangdong Province and 15 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Thursday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 have been recorded.

Twenty-four new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 427 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,511, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,881 (11,601 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 52 (51 recoveries)                 

Taiwan: 13,409 (1,133 recoveries, 478 deaths)
