As a port city known for its open economy, Ningbo in east China's Zhejiang Province has a long history of commerce and trade. Also, the local specialties have attributed much to its economy, for instance, Gaoni Village in Xiangshan County is the largest area for caged fish farming in Zhejiang Province.
