Israeli jets launched air strikes on Gaza overnight Thursday to Friday, after Hamas activists sent incendiary balloons into Israel for a third straight day. The latest violence is heaping pressure on a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Gaza's Hamas rulers which took effect on May 21, ending 11 days of heavy fighting. On Tuesday, Palestinian activists in Gaza fired incendiary balloons toward Israeli farmland in the first resumption of violence since the ceasefire.
