DPRK leader Kim Jong Un said on Thursday that the country should prepare for both dialogue and confrontation with the U.S. The order came just days after the U.S. and other major powers urged the DPRK to abandon its nuclear program. At this week's G7 summit, leaders issued a statement calling for complete denuclearization of the DPRK. Since taking office, U.S. President Joe Biden has been working to formulate a new approach to the issue. Kim is grappling with deepening economic worries caused by coronavirus-caused border closings and U.S.- led sanctions.
