Take a look at colorful daffodils at the 10th China Flower Expo
CGTN

Daffodils are popular flowers typically found in white and yellow. But at the 10th China Flower Expo, being held on Chongming Island, Shanghai, from May 21 to July 2, visitors can find colorful daffodils blooming in blue, orange, or pink. Staff at the expo change the color of daffodils by injecting natural plant pigment into the white daffodils.

Daffodils, scientifically known as narcissus, have been cultivated from early times. Today they are still popular as ornamental plants and cut flowers at homes and gardens around the world.

Chongming Island, located in the north of Shanghai, is known for growing beautiful daffodils. With elegant flowers and a long flowering period, daffodils have been on the island for over 400 years. Here are some photos of colorful daffodils taken at the flower expo.
