China beat Russia 3-0 (25-18,25-23,25-16) at the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Rimini, Italy on Friday, registering a fifth consecutive win. 

China managed comeback wins in the first two sets, varying their tactics and strategies and committing fewer errors than their counterparts. 

Chinese ace spikers Li Yingying and Zhu Ting scored the most points of the game – 19 and 15, respectively.  

Despite high morale and momentum in recent games, China will still find it difficult to reach the final four as only two matches remain in the preliminary round.

They are currently fifth and will next face Poland and top-ranked USA. 

In other games, the USA defeated Poland 3-0, Italy beat Canada 3-0, and Turkey swept past the Netherlands 3-0.
