The Chinese mainland recorded 23 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported.

A total of 20 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 458 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,587, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,885 (11,612 recoveries, 210 deaths)

Macao: 53 (51 recoveries)                

Taiwan: 13,896 (1,133 recoveries, 538 deaths)
