The Communist Party of China has always upheld the guideline of "seeking common ground while reserving differences" when it handles international affairs. Professor Wang Xinsong from the School of Social Development and Public Policy at Beijing Normal University says China respects diversity, accepts differences and avoids conflicts in international affairs.
