A delegation of international youth in China who joined the 2021 Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD) is going to visit the land where the red culture bears unique significance in modern Chinese history.
In east China's Jiangxi Province, the Communist Party of China (CPC) launched the Nanchang Uprising and established the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base in 1927. As a land of revolutionary memories, Jiangxi has witnessed a large number of touching stories written by numerous revolutionaries.
Maoping Former Revolutionary Site Complex in Jinggangshan is one of the destinations. The international youth will visit the former site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China on the Hunan-Jiangxi border, and Baijiaolou, the former residence of Chairman Mao Zedong.

Gutian Village, originally known as a red tourist spot, has also embraced economic and folk cultural resources in boosting its tourism. It now becomes a model in exploring the beauty of the countryside. The youths are also expected to talk to those living in the village to explore how the changes were made.
Exploring a modern Jiangxi
As a big province, Jiangxi is also actively exploring on the road of scientific and technological development.
During the trip to Jiangxi, the international youth will experience virtual reality programs at China (Nanchang) Virtual Reality (VR) Industrial Base to experience advanced VR projects. They will also have the chance to visit Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and share their "Stories in China" with foreign students studying there.
At the last stop in Jiangxi, the international youth will visit Jingdezhen, hailed as the world porcelain center with a history of over a thousand years. The delegation is scheduled to learn the upgrading of the traditional porcelain industry at the Ceramic Art Avenue and at Jingdezhen Ceramics Archaeological Research Center, talk to the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage about cultural heritage protection. At Sanbao Ceramic Valley, the international youth will discuss cultural inheritance, international art exchanges, among others, with foreign artists who have long lived there and appreciate the thousand-year-old ceramic culture and aesthetics of life in the Chinese lifestyle.

The "GYLD China Tours" is one of the long-term programs under the framework of the Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD). Youth from across the world will have the opportunity to appreciate picturesque landscapes in China, experience the profound and inclusive Chinese civilization, and get a glimpse of a better life in Chinese people via interesting and distinctive visits and exchanges held in China. In the process, youth with varied cultural backgrounds from China and other countries will get to know more about each other and themselves. Meanwhile, the wisdom of youth pooled by this platform also contributes to the global development and the fulfillment of the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations (UNSDG). In the future, a larger number of young people from across the globe will be invited to participate in the activities of GYLD.
