Iran's nuclear plant shuts down, reporting technical fault
00:38

Iran's Atomic Energy Organization says the country's only nuclear power plant has been temporarily shut down due to a technical fault. It says the issue should be resolved in a few days and the plant will then be reconnected to the grid. The Bushehr plant with an 1,000-megawatt reactor is located on Iran's southern coast. It was completed by Russia after years of delay and officially handed over in September 2013. The shutdown comes as Tehran and world powers attempt to bring the United States back into the 2015 nuclear agreement. An EU negotiator says talks in Vienna are moving "closer to a deal."
