Beijing accuses Taiwan's DPP of putting politics above public health
Beijing repeated its offer to provide Covid-19 vaccines to Taiwan. According to the spokesperson for the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, the central government is concerned about the COVID-19 situation in Taiwan, and hopes to help the island fight the pandemic. The spokesperson also accused Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party of placing political objectives above public health, while Taiwan reported over 14,000 cases and 569 deaths. Here, six percent of the island's population are vaccinated.
