Speaking of China's opening-up, south China's Hainan Province is absolutely worth a mention. It's been a year since the island province was transformed into a free trade port – the only one in China – which has brought a sea of changes to locals' lives. A slew of preferential policies have been rolled out to facilitate trade and business operations on the island, including scrapping import duties for partial goods, lowering income tax rates for high-level talents, capping company tax at 15 percent and relaxing visa requirements for tourists and business travelers.
