A sabotage attempt on a building of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran has been foiled, PTV news said on Wednesday, citing security sources.
Iranian media later confirmed the news, adding there were no casualties or damages, and an investigation has been launched.
The attack "did not cause any damage in financial or human terms," Iran's state TV said.
"Investigations are ongoing to identify the perpetrators and determine the facts surrounding the incident," said Nournews, an Iranian news agency close to Iran's Supreme National Security Council.
There was no confirmation of the report yet from the Iranian authorities.
