Chinese and African officials have held an online seminar on how to fight and overcome poverty. The National People's Congress, China's top legislative body, hosted the event with participants from South Africa, Liberia, Zimbabwe and Namibia. Wang Dongming, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, introduced Beijing's experience from the past few years in eradicating poverty. The participants also discussed how legislation could play a role in overcoming hardship.
