The Press Center for Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Monday held a press conference joined by new CPC members and CPC members bearing five decades of party membership.

Four CPC members shared their experiences in adhering to the Party's original aspirations and missions and striving to move forward. They also took questions from Chinese and foreign reporters.

The representatives are Sui Senfang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of the School of Life Sciences of Tsinghua University, Liu Jinhua, official from the General Office of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Zhao Pubo, chief welder of China 19th Metallurgical Corporation, and Long Bing, self-employed truck driver from Hunan Province.

More than 7.1 million CPC members across China, bearing five decades of party membership, were awarded commemorative medals in early June.

Eligible recipients are CPC members with a membership for 50 full years or longer as of July 1, 2021, and who have consistently performed well in their roles.
