Indonesia has authorized the use of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in children aged between 12 and 17.

The country has recently seen a rebound in cases of the disease triggered by the Delta variant, and the number of young patients has soared.

The Indonesian Association of Paediatricians says the proportion of COVID-19 cases among children now stands at 12.5%.
