Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, on Tuesday presented the July 1 Medal to outstanding Party members in Beijing before the CPC celebrates the centenary of its founding.

Established by the CPC Central Committee, the July 1 Medal is the highest honor in the Party and was presented for the first time this year.
