Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, conferred the July 1 Medal on outstanding CPC members at a ceremony held at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Tuesday.

Addressing the ceremony, Xi praised the medal recipients for staying true to the Party's original aspirations and dedicating themselves to the people.
