Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the G20 meeting via video link in Beijing on Tuesday. During the meeting, foreign ministers called on all parties to cooperate on trade and commit to boosting recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. China echoed the calls, saying the G20 should lead the way in the global economic recovery. Wang Yi also called for international cooperation to maintain the world economy as he acknowledged that challenges still remain in the fight against COVID-19.
