Indonesian President Joko Widodo said on Thursday that tougher social restrictions would be in place from July 3 to 20 to stem a spike in coronavirus cases.
The country's emergency measures to be imposed this weekend will include restrictions on movement, domestic air travel and office work, according to a government document obtained by Reuters.
Indonesia has reported a series of record highs in recent weeks, including 21,807 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.
