The patriotic united front is an important means for the Communist Party of China (CPC) to unite all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation, both at home and abroad, behind the goal of national rejuvenation, President Xi Jinping said on Thursday.   

Xi, also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks at the ceremony marking the centenary of the CPC in Beijing.
