Drum dance was part of the art performance titled "Epic Journey" to mark the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.

Titled "New World," the dance featured performers beating a huge drum that is 10 meters in diameter and a hundred smaller drums in the air. Trumpeters sounded the horns as dancers waved red flags.

It presented the audience a majestic view, depicting historical changes of the nation to get stronger and stronger, and portraying a picture of the national rejuvenation in the new era.

As the lyrics went "Striving with all our might, we're working together to reach our goals. With self-belief, we forge ahead," the show told how Chinese people ushered in a new world.
