Chinese mainland reports 23 new COVID-19 cases, all from overseas

The Chinese mainland recorded 23 new COVID-19 cases on Friday, all from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Saturday.

No new deaths related to COVID-19 were reported.

A total of 19 new asymptomatic cases, all from overseas, were recorded, while 463 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,833, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,938 (11,633 recoveries, 211 deaths)

Macao: 54 (51 recoveries)

Taiwan: 14,911 (10,347 recoveries, 676 deaths)
