South Africa has approved the COVID-19 vaccine produced by the Chinese company, Sinovac. 2.5 million doses have been cleared for delivery, as South Africa battles a crippling third wave, which is overwhelming hospitals - especially in Johannesburg. The country reported 24,000 new cases on Friday and more than 300 deaths. But only about five percent of South Africans have been vaccinated so far.
