The Communist Party of China's (CPC) centenary celebration presents the perfect moment to appreciate this organization's many accomplishments. The CPC is most well known across the world for reunifying almost all of China while simultaneously lifting more people out of poverty than any other group had ever done before in history, not to mention the unprecedented pace at which it pulled off this herculean task.

It also successfully contained the COVID-19 pandemic within its borders before any other country did and recently administered its one billionth vaccine dose. There are many more impressive socioeconomic statistics that could be rattled off almost endlessly but the purpose of this analysis is to reflect on the Party's broader accomplishments.

First and foremost among these are the fact that the Party was even able to come to power against such seemingly insurmountable odds. The CPC not only played the leading role in China's World War II victory and subsequently came out on top in the Civil War, but it also successfully won over the hearts and minds of its compatriots in order to truly become the most trusted force in Chinese history. This speaks not only to Chairman Mao's masterful military tactics and strategies, but also his convincing articulation of communist ideology which gave hope to the then extremely destitute Chinese people that the CPC would sincerely work towards improving all aspects of their lives.

Through decades of hard work and long-term planning, the CPC made good on its promise to the Chinese people by implementing the most ambitious socioeconomic development program in human history. Not only that, but it survived the end of the Cold War despite many of its peers across the world dissolving after the Soviet Union's collapse and arguably came out stronger than ever before.

This was attributable to its pragmatic flexibility in the face of a rapidly changing world. Socialism with Chinese Characteristics served the interests of all the Chinese people irrespective of their ethnicity, religion or regional origins. It liberated minorities from feudalistic practices and has been more responsible for doing for such people than any other political force in history.

The CPC's blend of communist ideology, effective management practices, meritocratic ideals, minority empowerment and visionary socioeconomic programs resulted in the People's Republic of China emerging as one of the world's most powerful forces by the 21st century. Less than a decade ago, the CPC felt confident enough with its domestic success to assist China's Global South partners.

The Belt & Road Initiative (BRI) provides grants and no-strings-attached low-interest loans to developing countries in order to modernize their hard and soft infrastructure for the purpose of improving their people's lives. The CPC also hosts a variety of training programs in China for its counterparts in order to share its experiences.

The natural outcome of these generous policies is that the world is moving closer towards a "community of common destiny" in accordance with one of the primary precepts of the Xi Jinping Thought. The Chinese president is proudly leading China into a new era of international relations where his country's novel approach of win-win partnerships is winning hearts and minds across the world.

This philosophy contrasts with the West's counterproductive zero-sum one and is much more attractive to everyone. Of particular importance is that the CPC respects its partners' different governmental and socioeconomic models unlike the West which is obsessed with its self-designed messianic mission of aggressively imposing its own model onto all others.

One can therefore objectively conclude that the CPC embraces democratic ideals and diversity much more sincerely than the West does by respecting its partners' freedom to choose their own forms of development despite propagandistic claims to the contrary. China is serving as the promoter of the emerging multi-polar world order and is contributing to the end of the brief period of U.S.-led unipolarity that wrecked havoc across the world over the past three decades.

None of this would have happened had it not been for the CPC, which can be described in light of the insight shared in this analysis as among the most influential forces in human history. As the Party celebrates its centenary, its countless contributions are being appreciated by more people than ever before.
