Chinese mainland reports 22 new COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 22 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, three new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases from southwest China's Yunnan Province and 19 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Monday.

No new suspected cases or deaths related to COVID-19 were reported.

A total of 14 new asymptomatic cases, all from overseas, were recorded, while 443 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 91,869, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,942 (11,637 recoveries, 211 deaths)

Macao: 55 (51 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,030 (10,868 recoveries, 688 deaths)
