Four teams – Slovenia, Germany, Italy and the Czech Republic – have caught the last bus for Tokyo Olympic men's basketball tournament after defeating their opponents in the last game of the qualifiers on Sunday.

Luka Doncic, 22, dropped a triple-double of 31 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists to help Slovenia beat Lithuania 96-85, making the Olympics for the first time. "We won here. We're going to the Olympics, the first time in our country. It's amazing. I think every kid dreams about being in the Olympics. I did too. So, here we are. We fought really, really hard, and I think we deserve to be here," said Doncic after the game.

Since Doncic made his national team debut at 18, Slovenia has won every game with him on the floor.

At Spaladium Arena in Split, Croatia, Germany beat Brazil 75-64 to secure an Olympic berth. Though Germany's poster boy Dennis Schroder did not join the national team, Moritz Wagner became their backbone, putting down 28 points and six rebounds. Having gone 3-6 from beyond the arc in Sunday's game, Wagner shot over 40 percent in triples during the qualifying tournament.

"I don't care about personal awards, to be honest. I didn't even know there was an award, I don't play for that. I try to win games, and (in the Final) I scored more points than somebody else, but the next day, it could be somebody else, and then somebody else... That's what makes this team great," said Wagner after the game.

Six came from Achile Polonara, who also had 12 rebounds. Nico Mannion of the NBA's Golden State Warriors also contributed 24 points for Italy.

The 97-72 victory by the Czech Republic over Greece was the biggest surprise of all qualifying tournaments. Czech Republic's 67.2-percent field goal shooting performance, the 18-2 run in Q3 and the 31-11 lead in the quarter exemplified the passion and determination invested in Sunday's game.

"We were getting better every game. We didn't start well. The lack of practice, the lack of preparation, influenced us a lot, but we believed in this group. We've got good chemistry playing with each other for a long time," said Tomas Satoransky after the game.
