China says it has administered over 1.3 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines across the country. China has accelerated its free vaccination campaign since late March. It took only six days for total jabs to climb from 1.2 billion to 1.3 billion. The deputy head of China's National Health Commission said by the end of this year, at least 70 percent of the nation's target population is expected to be vaccinated.
