HK announces vetting committee to screen candidacy for local elections

Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Chief Executive Carrie Lam on Tuesday announced members of a committee which will review candidates' qualifications for running in local elections. John Lee Ka-chiu, chief secretary of the HKSAR government, was appointed as the chairman of the panel.
