Litang County is located in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in southwest China's Sichuan Province. At an altitude of about 4,000 meters, it is one of the most elevated towns in the world, lovingly called the "city in the sky." It is an important part of Sichuan's pastoral area, which is one of the five major pastoral areas of China. Precious sounds of people's daily life and their religious chanting are preserved in the town's Himalayas Sound Museum. From this center of Tibetan religion and culture, CGTN brings you a heavenly medley of sounds - from the everyday hustle and bustle to the chimes of faith, from the plains and mountains to the sounds of yark bells, horse bells, etc.
