China has lodged solemn representations with the U.S. over visa denials of more than 500 Chinese students and urged the U.S. side to review those visa applications, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday. "This is nothing short of historical backpedaling," Zhao added.
