The Eco Forum Global 2021 will be held online and offline from July 12 to 13 in Guiyang City, the capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, according to a briefing on July 7 by China's Information Office of the State Council.

The Eco Forum Global (EFG) is hosted by the Chinese ministries of foreign affairs, natural resources, and ecology and environment and the provincial government.

The overall objective of the forum is to publicize President Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization more extensively and intensively, build an important platform for international cooperation in ecological civilization, and demonstrate the ecological progress of China more fully and comprehensively.

With the theme of "Green and Low-carbon Development – Fostering a Community of Life for Man and Nature," the forum will focus on topics including the 14th Five-Year Plan, the "two Mountains" theory on green development, green and clean energy and climate change.
