Philippine volcanologists warned that an eruption could occur in Taal volcano, south of Manila, "anytime soon" after recording the highest levels of sulfur dioxide gas emission on July 4. Officials in the Philippines are concerned over the continued seismic activity from Taal, the country's second-most active volcano. It could mean evacuated residents will have to remain in shelters, where there are fears of the spread of the coronavirus.
