The United States poses the most severe threat to global cybersecurity by illegally obtaining and abusing private data, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said at a press briefing in Beijing on July 5. 

Tom Burt, corporate vice president of customer and security trust at Microsoft, stated in a hearing on June 30 that U.S. law enforcement agencies have issued confidentiality orders to the company every year in the past five years to obtain the data of users. However, the orders are not effectively supervised by U.S. courts.
