Tibetan improvised folk music is a form of ancient Tibetan music that records life experiences, artistic pursuits and emotional expression. Daocheng County, located in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, is not only rich in the legends of the "sacred mountains," but also in artistic performances of people's life experiences. The music is often used at weddings, festivals and on other occasions to bless the future and praise the present. As an inheritor of the art, Lobsang Tenzin, 64, has improvised and promoted the music for decades. He's devoted to promoting it worldwide.
