South Korea reports highest daily spike in COVID-19 cases

South Korea has confirmed 1,275 new COVID-19 cases, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) said on Thursday, the highest number of daily cases since the pandemic hit.

The country's total caseload has increased to 164,028, according to KDCA. One more death was also reported, pushing the death toll to 2,034.
