At least nine people were killed when a small airplane crashed at a Swedish airport on Thursday evening, media reports said. 

The plane crashed shortly after taking off from the airport in Orebro, 160 kilometers west of the capital Stockholm, the reports quoted authorities as saying.

"We have no information regarding injuries for the people on board," Emil Gustavsson, rescue leader at the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, said.
