Highways closed with red alert for rainstorms in N China

Highways were partly closed due to heavy rainstorms on Sunday in the city of Jincheng in north China's Shanxi Province.

A mudslide occurred at the exit of the Niuwangshan Tunnel along the Jinyun Highway, stranding many vehicles.

The local meteorological department has issued a red alert for the rain.
