Chinese mainland reports 27 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 27 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, among which nine are local transmissions in southwestern Yunnan Province and the other 18 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Monday.

In addition, 15 new asymptomatic cases, all from overseas, were recorded, while 471 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 92,066, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,951 (11,655 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 55 (53 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,249 (11,802 recoveries, 740 deaths)
